**Duties:**
-Responsible for managing physician contracts as they pertain to compensation, benefits, schedules, and liability/malpractice coverage.
-Development and implementation of physician compensation and employment contracting strategies, practices, and procedures.
-Collaborates with legal, compliance, finance, compensation, executive, and human resources leadership to ensure physician compensation practices align with broader finance, compensation and human resources practices and procedures.
-Manage physician employment contracts ensuring compliance (fair market value and commercially reasonableness) and identification of compliance risks.
-Drafts agreements (employment, amendments, asset purchase, independent contractor, etc.) with agreed upon terms as directed by executive leadership for legal department review and approval.
-Coordinates contracting-related activities, including contract evaluation, rate impact modeling, contract language review, negotiations, contract implementation and contract compliance.
-Communicates throughout the organization on issues related to contracts and procedures.
-Maintains up-to-date assessment of industry market trends, compensation plan design and data analysis to support executive leadership in provider contract negotiations.
-Provides managerial oversight to team responsible for provider onboarding (Physician, APPs, Locums)
-Focuses on patient satisfaction by identifying and acting on opportunities for improvement.
-Uses oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with our mission.
-Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental control.
**Qualifications:**
-Juris Doctorate degree required.
-7 - 10 years of job-related experience in healthcare contract management or strategic planning.
-Progressive healthcare leadership experience, including planning, budgeting, contracting, and leading organizational cultural change.
-Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with senior executives, physicians, and key stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.
-Experience with alternative payment models (APMs), risk-sharing agreements, or incentive-based compensation structures preferred.
-Strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of physician compensation models and regulatory requirements. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives related to physician engagement and alignment.
