**Pay Range:** $76.35 - $113.76 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. **Summary:**
The Director of Workday Applications will provide strategic leadership and direction for the development, operation, and support of the Workday application and its ecosystem. This role requires a deep understanding of Workday functionalities and the ability to align them with the organization’s goals and objectives.
This position is responsible for the use and quality control of the Workday Production and Non-Production environments. This role manages all updates to the Workday environment including the coordination of the use of non-production environments for support and project build activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of Workday functionalities and the ability to drive product vision and strategy.
**Responsibilities:**
• Lead and oversee the Workday application team, providing direction, guidance, and mentorship.
• Develop and implement strategies for the optimal use of Workday applications within the organization.
• Coordinate resources effectively to meet group goals and anticipate business partner’s needs.
• Balance the needs for support, maintenance, and administrative tasks with strategic projects.
• Demonstrate a broad understanding of information systems functions and business areas related to corporate applications.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure the delivery of high-quality support services.
• Serve as the product owner for Workday applications, defining and prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to make improvements to user experience through automation, process improvement and optimization.
• Develop, track and report KPIs related to RUSH’s business areas.
• Facilitate the implementation of solutions which are sustainable in the current & future organization structures and support RUSH’s Workday users.
• Conduct performance reviews and facilitate career development for team members.
• Empower team members and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Senior business leaders to ensure RUSH Workday environment is aligned to meet strategic and operational needs.
• Collaborate with functional and technical support teams to define best practice in bringing transformation to the RUSH ERP operating model to best leverage Workday as it continues to evolve.
• Oversee testing and adherence to testing standards for many major Workday/ERP projects.
• Monitor and communicate updates from Workday for everything from road mapping the future through support events.
• Monitor performance of the various Workday environments including Production and Non-Production and manage support incidents with Workday.
• Provide leadership around the quality of our Workday environment. Monitoring the use of our environments including testing activities, data refreshes, security needs, staged data, or configuration to support various projects and then migrations to production.
• Communicate key dates and information to users of the Production and Non-Production environments including planning for updates and ensuring to minimize and communicate any non-scheduled downtime.
• Leading the testing of Workday cyclical releases and updates, the analysis and distribution of release notes to impacted business groups.
• Manage the Change Control process for the Workday environment.
**Required Job Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10 or more years of proven experience in leading Workday applications or similar enterprise systems.
• Solid change management skills and experience leading cultural transformations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A broad understanding of information systems and their application in a corporate environment.
• Advanced knowledge of quality control and quality assurance methodology.
• Experience assessing business needs and translating them into relevant solutions in an ERP environment.
