Dir., Marketplace Ops.

Summary of Position

Initiate and oversee sales retention, analytics and broker functions for the sales and marketplace.
•    Develop strategy for retention plans, analytics to drive business plans, and support broker strategies for identified targets of opportunity with clearly defined schedules, action assignments. 
•    Manage the sales operations from onboarding, training and webinar updates, review and participate in State Programs and strategy growth meetings. 
•    Participate in Salesforces and IT development processes.
•    Monitor daily weekly and monthly reports.  
•    Review and manage write ups such as DL, PIPS and finals.


Principal Accountabilities

•    Develop, implement and supervise the activities of daily weekly and monthly reports to ensure departmental goals and objectives are met including: developing daily update membership reports; participating in functions relevant to the sales and marketplace; and working with departments and vendors that are involved with membership growth of our partners.
•    Manage day to day operation of the sales, retention and marketplace functional areas; collaborate with peers to align strategies and sales growth projections.
•    Develop, train, manage, assess, and motivate staff.  Develop performance objectives; provide support and guidance to maximize probability of success.    
•    Analyze sales reports; determine performance gaps and provide guidance and recommendations for improvement; acknowledge and encourage positive results to motivate staff.    
•    Build strategy and deliver comprehensive training plan to ensure optimal results from marketplace sales organization.
•    Create and maintain close relationships working with outside vendors to support the needs of the department.
•    Coordinate work efforts with direct mail and call center vendors to ensure all required components are in place for marketing efforts to generate sales opportunities for sales and marketplace team. 
•    Work with the Compliance Director to Implement training programs to ensure compliance with CMS requirements as well as creation/revision of all policies and procedures and annual internal audit processes.
•    Manage the development of State Products Medicaid benefit plan designs created annually to market to prospective members and strategic plans for the annual open enrollment period.    
•    Regular attendance is an essential function of the job; perform other duties as directed, assigned or required.

Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•    10 – 12+ years of relevant, professional work experience. (R)
•    Staff/process management experience. (R)
•    Strategic and tactical perspective on how to significantly improve operational performance. (R)
•    Additional experience/specialized training may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. (R)
•    Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage simultaneous tasks with competing deadlines. (R)
•    Knowledge of the health care industry and health care products, services, and processes. (R)
•    Ability to quickly analyze and interpret information, data, and reports; identify and resolve issues; and provide forecasts. (R)
•    Ability to deal with ambiguity and to interact with all levels of management up to and including executives. (R)
•    Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.). (R)
•    Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) with all types/levels of audiences. (R)
