PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position is responsible for all informational systems needed to perform the supply chain functions for Parkland Health and Hospital System as well as oversight for the supply chain analytics vision and strategy for the division. Informational systems include, but not limited to, ERP system, Contract Management System, EDI Console associated with ERP, Value Analysis Information System, Point of Use system interfaced with ERP system, routine monthly reports and on demand reporting. This includes establishing an efficient and effective analytics division in supply chain that provides excellent customer service.

 

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

 

Education:

Bachelors degree in Business, Informatics, Supply Chain or related field is required; Masters Degree preferred

 

Experience:

5 Five years of leadershgip experience 10 - 15 years relevant experience in IT or Supply Chain Informatics with progressively increasing responsibility to include: Knowledge and Implementation of supply chain management technology and hardware including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Point of Use (POU), etc. Development and Implementation of KPIs and dashboards supporting supply chain operations Healthcare experience preferred.

Skills or Special Abilities:

Knowledge of Infor CloudSuite Financials ERP system. Knowledge of healthcare revenue and cost analysis. Knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Skill in detail analysis of ERP system data. Skill in compilation of data from more than one source for analysis. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to work with groups to solve problems. Ability to communicate verbally and written with all levels of staff. Ability to work with people and to work under stress and deadlines. Ability to interact with others with courtesy, tact and outstanding customer service. Ability to attend training classes and in-service sessions for task standards, regulatory compliance and work performance.

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ability to provide leadership, strategic direction, oversight and management for a Supply Chain Informatics team in a large and complex supply chain function for a large health system. Oversee the management of an Informatics team that can be deployed according to strategic priorities Support the Supply Chain Division with managing incoming project requests and managing stakeholders; and support the SVP, Supply Chain with analysts who have the skills and development areas and according to the incoming project requests Define the Supply Chain Informatics capability development strategy for supply chain analytics and data integrity. Define the cross-training strategy for the Informatics team to support all functions of the Supply Chain Division. Provide best practice on supply chain analytics and Data Management. Provide day to day oversight and support for the Supply Chain Informatics team. Responsible for ERP data governance and integrity of Supply Chain Item Master and system integration to insure smooth operations for all Supply Chain functions. Dynamic, adaptable and quick learner with track record of building analytics capability in supply chain Demonstrated ability in building and leading high performing teams and in coaching and developing staff Ability to take a supply chain informatics strategy and execute against it through to completion efficiently and effectively, whilst providing excellent customer service Strong influencing, collaboration and stakeholder management skills up to and including at the executive level Ability to drive change while delivering value within a team-based culture Experience in adopting leading practices and designing and implementing digital supply chain solutions Deep analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams Exceptional relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills up to and include executive level Ability to conduct quality assurance and control of analytics inputs, outputs and methodologies across a wider range of project areas (e.g. sourcing, procurement, inventory and value analysis) and organizational levels (e.g. corporate, hospital, warehouse and ambulatory surgery center) Aptitude for understanding organizational priorities and staffing needs Managing a broad scope of responsibilities by prioritizing work and managing stakeholder expectations effectively Consistently delivering an exceptional customer experience, even in times of high volume, ambiguity or adversity Analyze and troubleshoot system issues and provides support for system applications. Assists with coordinating, planning and implementing Supply Chain IT applications and system upgrades. Develops and provides user supply reports to internal departments, data and reports to Value Analysis Teams. Assures accuracy for Supply Chain software applications. Supports item master file maintenance and build.
