Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of People Solutions to support our operations across Canada and the United States. The successful candidate will oversee a dynamic team, consisting of 2-4 direct reports and 15-20 indirect reports. The key priorities include improving employee experience, delivering high-quality support to the business, and driving innovation with AI-powered solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking, along with a proven track record of collaboration and change leadership in a fast-past environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Oversee and mentor a team of 2-4 direct and 15-20 indirect reports.Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.Foster a positive work environment that upholds the company’s culture and values. Design and execute employee engagement initiatives to motivate and retain talent.Strategic PS Leadership:
Consults business leaders in creating and translating business strategies to improve business results for an organization. Leads their team to develop, apply, and align people and organizational priorities with organization vision and execution. Provides strategy analysis to understand the implications of strategic choices within and across organizations. Ensures that the people strategies and organizational strategies are effective to achieve desired business outcomes.Develop and implement People Solution strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. Conducts assessment of the effectiveness of the business strategy, model, and organizational structure, and makes strategic recommendations to achieve business outcomes. Leads the efforts to identify gaps in the execution of business strategies and consults business leadership on clarifying and executing business strategies as an People Solution leader.Lead initiatives to optimize costs while enhancing the employee experience.Decision Making & Advisory:
Utilize People Solution analytics to guide decision-making processes. Assessing metrics to monitor and ensure leadership performance for both direct team and teams within Client Success. Monitor People Solution metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.Advise the business and downstream People Solution functions on labor relation issues in Canada and the US.Candidate Profile:
12+ Years of Experience with a min. 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment.Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Professional HR certification is preferred. Experience with U.S. labor laws and Canadian employment laws and compliance best practices.Deep expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and workforce planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; experience with data-driven HR decision-making is an asset. Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of successful partnerships with senior leadership. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic priorities and day-to-day operations. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to execution. Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire teams. Demonstrated ability to champion significant projects, programs, and business initiatives using creativity and ingenuity.Knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices.The base salary range for this position is $154,000 to $185,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
