The Devereux Florida center provides a professional therapeutic environment for children, adolescents and adults who face significant emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. Currently hiring for our two metropolitian areas - Orlando, FL & Viera, FL. 

 

As a DCP, you will also use your experience and education in Psychology, Sociology, Education or other related field to:

Actively assist our individuals with their individualized plans for daily living and ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.

Assist with the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.

Plan and participate in community outings, and schedule/transport our individuals to doctor’s appointments, shopping trips, and day programs/schools.

Be a mentor to other staff and conduct observations and provide feedback for required trainings.

Position Details:

Salary:  Starts at $16.25 - $19.89 / hour PLUS additional compensation: Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour). Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour). Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree).

 

Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd (3:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:00am).   Weekends required for full-time opportunities.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field is required or  High School diploma with 12 years of Human Service experience.Previous expereince preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.Must be able to work weekends and holidays.Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, and TB Test.Valid driver's license - Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
