What Qualifications will I need to Care for our students?
A passion for helping others; truly compassionate and caringMust be least 21 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.Must be available to work a schedule that will consist of both first and second shifts, every other weekend, double shifts, and a holiday rotation.As a Caregiver you will:
Provides caregiving and direct support to developmentally disabled youth.Providing supervision, coaching, modeling, engagement, and support of students in living, activity, school and community settings.Assisting students with carrying out daily living activities, recreational activities, developing self-care skills (health/hygiene), learning and practicing social and peer interaction, community interaction and coping skills, budgeting for small personal expenditures, and school work and/or homework.Complete documentation including tracking behavioral data, shift summaries, and incident reportsDemonstrate proactive, appropriate, and effective interactions with students while maintaining self-control during crisis interventions.Being a consistent, supportive and patient individual wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of our studentsBenefits
