16.75-17.50 per hour | Auburn, NY, USA | Hourly | Cayuga | Full Time Direct Support Professional - Day Services Mozaic is looking for dedicated Caregivers, Health Aides, CNAs, or Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities during daytime hours in non-residential settings. Our goal is to facilitate community integration, skill development, and promote independence. Direct Support Professionals at Mozaic are instrumental in fostering self-esteem and providing consistent, positive support, encouragement, and respect for the rights of individuals in both habilitation settings and the community. Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Duties: Caregivers in this role assist individuals in maintaining safe and healthy lifestyles within the community by providing support with transportation, attending appointments, and managing daily living activities. They are responsible for accurately following guidelines, administering medications, and adhering to care plans. Collaboration with other members of the support team, including families, healthcare professionals, and case managers, is essential to ensure the overall well-being and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, caregivers offer emotional support, encouragement, and advocate for the rights and needs of those they assist. Direct Support Professional Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position, along with at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or a related field. Additionally, a valid driver's license is necessary.
