With the Residence Director provide supervision of direct care staff and consumer services at assigned programs. This is a direct service position responsible for the provision of Residential Respite Care Services to program participants. To serve as a Team Member to Seven Hills Family Services, Inc.

Responsibilities

To be responsible for documentation requirements of staff while on duty.

To be responsible for program planning during on duty hours, including recreational activities in conjunction with respite houseguests.

To complete or oversee all admission/discharge policies and procedures while on duty.

To attend staff meetings as scheduled.

To assist in interviewing and orientation of assigned staff.

To participate in Performance Appraisals of assigned staff.

To attend program meetings as scheduled.

To maintain and monitor Respite House and consumer money/accounts while on duty.

To complete orientation.

To maintain Medication Certification.

To attend specific job-related trainings as assigned.

To renew all necessary certifications before expiration dates.

To obtain new certifications as necessary.

To maintain an open dialogue with the Residence Director.

To report all issues encountered while on duty to the Residence Director or the assigned emergency contact.

To interact with staff in a constructive and positive manner.

To coordinate and assure compliance of Quality of Life areas as outlined by OUTCOMES to include; People are valued, Peoples rights are affirmed, Peoples rights are protected, People are understood, People make choices in their everyday lives, People are the primary decision makers in their lives, People accomplish their goals, People have autonomy, People grow through life experiences, People are safe at home and work, People are free from harm, People maintain good health, Peoples funds are safeguarded.

Qualifications

To have an interest in working with families who have a physically, developmentally, emotionally or other life challenged family member. To be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age. To be knowledgeable of creative and developmental activities appropriate to the age and capabilities of the individual that is being serviced. First Aide and CPR trained. Valid driver’s license.
