Job Description

Team Summary:

The Business Development Team is responsible for driving opportunities, growing revenue, and building relationships primarily with our Financial Institution clients. The team collaborates closely with all cross-functional teams to provide business solutions, products, and services to our clients. The Business Development Director reports to the Head of Business Development.

What a Director, Account Executive does at Visa:

The Director, Account Executive role is responsible for driving new business, managing clients, developing and executing account plans, and implementing sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. This Director will actively identify new revenue opportunities, manage contractual obligations, and ensure clients are equipped with the best and most relevant Visa products and services. Responsibilities include:

Lead and manage Visa issuing clients by providing dedicated client relationship support.Build, solidify, and foster client relationships across their wide range of business functions.Proactively identify and develop opportunities, manage sales pipelines, and work with relevant stakeholders to mutually grow client and Visa business.Develop a good understanding of client strategies and collaborate well with cross-functional teams to ensure clients get access to the most relevant and impactful Visa products and services.Deliver disciplined account planning to meet and exceed identified goals and implement strategic initiatives.Be the face of Visa to our clients and partners, drive thought leadership and vision in the market.

Qualifications

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience in sales and/or relationship management roles. Payment technology background and knowledge preferred but not required.Client-centric with considerable experience in managing and leading key accounts and stakeholders, ideally in financial institutions, consulting firms, or large retailers.Superior communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders.Fluent Cantonese and EnglishResults-driven team player. Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a multi-functional, challenging, and fast-paced environment.Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives, policies, and operational decisions.Solutions-oriented mindset with a proven track record of exceeding goals.Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive positive outcomes.Possess high learning agility, cultural sensitivity, and a global mindset.

What will also help:

Experience and knowledge of the Hong Kong payment market and industry trends.Additional language skills, particularly Mandarin.Experience with strategic planning and implementation.
