Job Description:
We are seeking a Director, Accountingto support technical accounting and internal controls for the IMS Segment, reporting to the IMS Segment Sr. Director, Controller. This role has broad responsibility for technical accounting support, revenue recognition compliance, and will serve as the overall lead for the internal controls processes for the Segment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and analytical skills, a strong technical accounting background with specific experience supporting ASC 606 Revenue Recognition analysis and determinations, deep experience in internal control topics and an understanding of financial compliance in large publicly traded companies.
Essential Functions:
Manage a team of 3 or more individual contributors of various levels of experience who are responsible for revenue recognition compliance, ICFR and other compliance topics. Matrix responsibility for 4 ICFR Champions reporting to Sector Controllers.Lead and participate in complex accounting research and determinations of accounting treatment for non-routine transactions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.Partner with business representatives to advise on US GAAP and Corporate/Local Policies requirements for accounting impacts of business decisions.Ensure internal controls are designed and operating effectively to address risk and maintain compliance with accounting policies. Serve as reviewer for Sector or Division completed revenue recognition analysis to ensure accuracy of results and consistent application of concepts.Proactively identify and implement business process and internal control harmonizations, process improvements and training opportunities.Manage audit relationships and monitor status of External Audit, Internal Audit, SOX, and Self Evaluation Testing.Ability interact with business stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and minimum 15 years of relevant experience. Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.5+ years experience with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements5+ years of experience supporting technical accounting research and analysisCertified Public Accountant (CPA)U.S. Citizenship is requiredPreferred Additional Skills:
