Director, Accounting

About the Role:

Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.

What You Will Do:

 Ensures compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.). Performs control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.). Prepares accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.) may also include: Cost accounting/budgeting (allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, budget preparation, etc.).  Reviews and recommends policy changes, assess internal control structure and recommend changes.  Develops, maintains, monitors, and enforces accounting policies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as regulatory agency financial reporting and disclosure guidelines. Performs reviews on technical accounting areas. Reviews workflow for efficiencies and improvements and implements changes.  Documents and communicates complex technical accounting and financial reporting matters. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Participates in annual audits and special projects. May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes. Responsible for hiring, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.  Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience. CPA preferred Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.  Collaboration   Business acumen Communication

Salary range: $103,511.83 – $191,170.01

 
The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
