Salary Range$129,200.00 - $213,200.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?As a Director on the BI Actuarial Product – Liability team, you will take full ownership of rate adequacy for Liability lines across Business Insurance. In this role, you will produce and review rate adequacy results, and communicate actionable insights to guide strategic business decisions. You will advance the science of rate adequacy by utilizing benchmark-based models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine methodologies. Additionally, you will support line management strategies and casualty reinsurance analyses, while continuously seeking process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. This includes managing multiple resources across the Actuarial Product – Liability team to produce and peer review rate adequacy results Effectively communicate rate adequacy results to business partners, focusing on providing actionable insights that guide business decisionsContinue to Advance The Science of Rate Adequacy by developing benchmark-based rate adequacy across multiple Business Units (BUs) and leveraging analytical tools to build residual models to support rate adequacy needsPartner with the Cross Lines Initiatives team to refine data products, assumptions, and methodologies for the Flexible Rate Adequacy Network (FRAN)Partner with BI Product and business partners to provide support for line management strategiesSupport casualty reinsurance analyses in partnership with the reinsurance teamIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of rate adequacy assessmentsAssess, prioritize, influence and communicate strategic initiative options to senior leaders.Demonstrate effective execution and completion of assigned strategic initiatives and projects.Regularly generate process improvements and explore opportunities for innovation.Lead assigned unit strategic initiatives (narrow scope, limited and well defined) and cross-unit initiatives on a limited basis and is expected to participate in Enterprise initiatives on a limited basis.Operational:Independently perform actuarial and analytic analyses to solve business problems and apply judgment appropriately.Drive day to day execution within unit.
