Then join us at Pfizer’s AI/ML, Quantitative & Digital Sciences (AQDS) team within Global Biometrics and Data Management where we are leveraging multi-modal data, digital biomarkers, and the power of quantitative science to inform trial designs, support clinical and regulatory strategy and build patient-centric health solutions. We are Pfizer’s thought leaders and drivers on AI & Machine Learning within Research & Development, and we partner closely with Digital teams to bring foundational data, methods, tools, infrastructure and policies, to enable responsible use of AI across Pfizer.

You will report to the head of AI/ML in Pfizer Research and Development to help develop AI products (e.g. chatbots, Knowledge Graphs, Question Answering System etc.) to help users across Pfizer R&D and adjacent teams (evidence teams and commercial) to derive insights on Pfizer assets. You will partner with clinicians, pharmacologists, medical development leads, evidence and commercial teams to successfully build data & AI products to impact Pfizer portfolio under the guidance of the AQDS function lead.

You will have expertise in building and leading cross-functional teams, problem framing, use case development and implementation, stakeholder management at executive levels, and bring a collaborative attitude and approach to problem solving.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy and Vision

Develop and Articulate Product Vision: Create a clear and compelling vision for AI products that aligns with Pfizer's strategic goals and addresses market needs.

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities for AI integration and assess competitive landscapes.

Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize product features and capabilities, creating a strategic roadmap that guides product development and launch.

Data Stewardship and Integration

Strategic Data Planning: Develop a clear vision and implementation plan for sourcing and integrating relevant scientific, clinical, and market data into AI accelerators.

Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.

Collaboration with Data Teams: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to optimize data pipelines and ensure seamless integration into AI products.

Innovation in Data Utilization: Identify new data sources and methodologies to enhance AI capabilities and drive competitive advantage.

User Engagement and Advocacy

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with healthcare professionals, patients, and internal teams to gather insights and feedback.

User-Centric Design: Translate user needs into actionable product requirements, ensuring solutions are intuitive and valuable to end-users.

Marketing Alignment: Work closely with marketing teams to develop messaging and positioning that resonate with target audiences.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and data science to deliver high-quality AI products.

Project Management: Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to assess product performance and inform continuous improvement.

Innovation and Thought Leadership

Industry Trends: Stay abreast of advancements in AI technology and healthcare industry trends to inform product strategy.

Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance product capabilities.

Representation: Serve as a spokesperson for Pfizer's AI initiatives at industry events and conferences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.

Professional Background: 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in the healthcare or technology sectors.

Marketing Expertise: Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies for technology products.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and driveprojects to successful completion.

Technical Proficiency: Adept at engaging with technical teams and understanding the nuances of AI product development.

Data Stewardship Experience: Experience in sourcing, integrating, and managing scientific, clinical, and market data within AI platforms.

Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to align product initiatives with broader business objectives and market opportunities.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and teaming ability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated successful execution of multiple, simultaneous projects

Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

Understanding of AI Technologies: Solid grasp of AI, machine learning, and data analytics concepts.

Data Management Expertise: Strong understanding of data stewardship, including data sourcing, integration, and governance practices.

Technical Communication: Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Product Management Tools: Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed product decisions.

Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile development processes and leading scrum teams.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Extensive computer use, ability to work at a rapid pace, in a virtual environment.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Some international travel will be required as part of this role. Expectations around travel will vary but you will need to be capable of travel within the region and to other regions.

This role may on occasion require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
