Business Unit Overview:

BlackRock Aladdin business is uniquely positioned to address the industry’s investment management and financial technology demands. The various business departments within Aladdin entity are focused on providing clients with highly scalable end to end investment management solutions for both Public and Private markets.

Position Description:

The Aladdin Wealth Enterprise business is effectively a start up with the broad reach of BlackRock and Aladdin. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team and assume the role of Client Enablement, servicing our Spanish and European clients across a range of activities including Implementations, Analytics and Product & Sales strategy. The candidate must have a solid finger on the pulse of the Spanish and European wealth market and will be imbedded into the client’s key decision makers and business leaders to drive adoption and growth. The role will evolve over time as the business develops and will be an exciting opportunity for someone who works well in fast moving organizations. This role is based in Madrid. 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Client Delivery team in Spain responsible for Implementations, Technical Servicing and Analytics engagement for Aladdin Wealth clients in Spain and other parts of Europe.As senior member of the broader EMEA team, contribute to the overall commercial, product and talent strategy in the region.Establish strong personal relationships with senior clients and represent all of BlackRock in a compelling fashion.Develop a strong working relationship with clients to support implementation and adoption of tools, including developing creative solutions to drive adoption or scale operational processes.Liaise with the client's key stakeholders and provide strong leadership for the Aladdin relationship.Develop strong relationships with all groups within BlackRock Solutions and BlackRock to ensure an excellent client experience and help drive the product roadmap, as necessary.Leadership and management skills to be the cultural flag-bearer with the ability to inspire people.Able to coach up ‘star’ mid-level managers on his / her team to higher levels of client delivery and execution, i.e. lead by example: show people how to build and maintain relationships/skillsets, then drive them to do it.Able to re-invent his / her team over time, via great new hires or upgrading existing talent.

Skills and Qualifications:

Background in Wealth market and/or technology consulting is a plusUnderstands business, financial, analytical, and technical terminology in the Wealth market. Keeps abreast of developments in own field and considers how this knowledge can be appliedStrong background in risk modeling and technical architecture design.Uncovers and meets the need of external clients; builds strong working partnerships with clients and internal organization; acts with urgency and works hard to address client demands; effectively manages clients’ expectations and delivers value-added serviceDemonstrated experience successfully leading strategic initiatives within a global organizationLeads individuals and teams to achieve objectives and drive results; inspires and motivates people to the highest levels of performance.  Is accessible, engaged and a positive force for change. Provides timely and actionable feedbackStrong project management and coordination skillsStrong problem solving/analytical thinkingSuperior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients. Capable of connecting with multiple audiences and articulating lines of reasoningTechnologically “aware” to be conversant with clients and visualize opportunities.  Technology knowledge is important, but a deep programing skillset is not necessary. Ability to operate as a self-starter, operating with limited guidance in a highly matrixed organizationEnjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment; able to manage multiple priorities

Our hybrid work model
