Director, Amazon Marketplace

The Director of Amazon Marketplace is a strategic leader and e-commerce marketplace expert responsible for maximizing performance and driving success through strategic initiatives and projects. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, data-driven planning, and strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with external and internal team stakeholders. They will collaborate with internal teams like merchandising, retail operations, transportation, pricing, and finance to meet their goals. Ideal candidates will have experience managing the Amazon marketplace, working as an e-commerce seller, or managing accounts in an e-commerce accelerator or platform. How you will achieve success:Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve Amazon GMV projections, contribution margin goals, and marketplace fee targets. Identify process and system improvements to maintain efficiency and accuracy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.Revenue and Performance Management: Set and achieve revenue, ROI, COGS, traffic, conversion, and ACOS targets. Collaborate with technical teams to outline the technical needs and vision for the Amazon channel.Relationship Building and Communication: Develop and execute a clear strategy for relationship building. Conduct regular calls and in-person visits with Amazon team members to drive our agenda and implement the three-year vision for the Amazon channel. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and support for initiatives.Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data to make informed decisions about the Amazon business. Develop key reports with structured data to communicate Amazon's performance to the company.Proactive Planning and Completing Deliverable: Engage in proactive planning to anticipate future needs and challenges. Completes projects and deliverables by the deadlines that are set internally or externally and consistent and professional communication with Amazon partners and other key stakeholders. What experiences will help you in this role: 5+ years of Amazon Marketplace experience and strategic doc writing.Experience leading a team.Extensive relationships with Amazon contacts.
