Edelman is seeking a Director of Analytics who will be responsible for analytics and measurement across marketing channels, with an increased focus on Social (Paid Social and Organic Social) and Influencer.
This role will be responsible for overseeing campaign measurement and other client-facing analytics and measurement deliverables and initiatives, such as measurement planning, benchmarking, data management and automation, etc., by gathering and aggregating data from native and third-party media platforms to provide meaningful insights and recommendations that inform strategic and tactical optimizations and decisions. The Director of Analytics will understand and define how marketing, media optimizations and strategy are reflected in data, helping clients and internal stakeholders build meaningful insights to inform future optimizations. Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day integrated digital and media measurement and analytics strategy discussions.Craft actionable, data-driven insights and recommendations in Analytics deliverables.Serve as the day-to-day client and internal resource and represent Analytics team through client & cross functional engagements.Develop measurement frameworks, learning agendas and testing plans, inform campaign/activation goals and subsequent KPIs and benchmarks as part of broader planning.Effectively communicate and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Present reporting deliverables as a storyteller, working to uncover and tie analytical insights to client strategy and planning initiatives. Create presentations with clear and correct formatting, slide design and client-friendly language.Stay up to date and have an informed opinion on industry trends, technologies, and pertinent research as well as relevant platform updates.Independently manage project execution, quality, expectations, and communicate to account leads. Coordinate with project management to establish cadence of Analytics deliverables in addition to timelines.Develop client scopes of work, staff plans and budget recommendations for new and organic business growth.Collaborate with Performance Marketing, Digital Strategy, Creative, Planning teams to inform measurement strategy, data management and capture requirements, and guide decision-making.Effectively coach and delegate to junior analysts, sharing best practices and fostering career growth.Qualifications:Possess a bachelor or graduate degree in communication, advertising, marketing, business, statistics, mathematics, or similar discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution.Have 6+ years of relevant professional experience working in performance marketing, digital media and advertising, or marketing/consumer research.Strong understanding of defined measurement strategy, KPIs and data ecosystems required for Analytics deliverables (measurement frameworks, reporting, learning agendas, etc).Understanding of data analysis and mathematical concepts, digital advertising and social media metrics, data collection methodologies, brand lift studies and digital/performance marketing concepts.Knowledge of basic financial metrics and mechanics used to measure financial performance.Demonstrated ability to independently work with large data sets across multiple data sources, natively and/or third-party data platforms.Knowledge of cross-channel performance analytics with technical understanding of web analytics, ad-serving, and data management platforms.Strong knowledge of the social media landscape, including emerging platforms and best practices.Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.Proficient with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence and data visualization software is preferred.High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.$86,000 - $133,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
