Director, Asset Management Product Strategy

CRD continues to grow and is expanding its products in several new areas. The Director of Asset Management Product Strategy is a senior-level role helping drive market definition, positioning and go-to market strategy in the Asset Management segment of the industry.  He/she will work globally across all of CRD’s products and solutions.  This is a hands-on role that will interact with both internal and external market participants, including customers, partners and industry analysts. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level product team and help drive delivery and success of a suite of new products in the financial marketplace.

You will be joining the Product Strategy team in Charles River Development (CRD).  This Asset Management Product Strategy role is intended to serve as a key subject master expert and thought leader in this space for CRD.

Our team’s mandate and goals focus on five key areas:

Defining Product VisionSupporting Strategic SalesWorking with Strategic ClientsProviding market analysis & serving as an “Industry Voice” for CRD and State StreetNew Business Development & Partnerships

The following activities will span across each of the key areas noted above:

Interface with R&D, Business Development, Sales and Client to validate market demand and requirementsWork closely with Product, Sales and Clients to determine existing product gaps and the prioritization of future enhancementsLead the effort for creating the marketing messaging for future solutionSupport the client prospecting process to ensure accurate messagingValidate potential revenue opportunity and potential adoption rate associated with future state solution and work across the organization to drive prioritizationDevelop launch strategy and execute on global product launches of new productsLead market research and identify customer problems and needsProvide product marketing support for new product concepts ranging from market opportunity analysis to developing full-fledged business plansDrive strategic industry analysis and competitive intelligenceLead global product pricing strategyWork with finance to analyze product profitability and sales success of all offeringsLead and be accountable for cross functional success of all new product and solutionsDevelop well rounded business cases to justify recommendations by developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the target market segments 

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Economics, Master’s in Business Administration preferred10-15+ years of related experienceStrong candidates will have worked in asset management commercial software development.Active contributor with high motivation, the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidanceSpecific knowledge of the investment industry (financial instruments, front and middle office workflows, major players, macroeconomic influences, trends, etc.)Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend, and position products and services to optimize revenue potentialStrong analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independentlyExcellent executive communication (verbal and written) skillsStrong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organizationProven ability to develop and manage cross functional processes and project timelinesExcellent follow-through, attention to detail and time management skillsExcellent ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing available dataGlobal product marketing or product strategy experience preferred

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
