Primary ResponsibilitiesPOSITION PURPOSE:
The Brand Director will be responsible for driving the strategic development, positioning, launch, and growth of a new brand portfolio across a variety of natural and organic food categories. This key role will oversee brand development, trade spending, marketing campaigns, product innovation, and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels. This role is critical in driving brand equity, market share growth, and consumer loyalty. This individual should be a creative yet data-driven leader with experience in consumer goods, preferably in the natural and organic food sector with a proven track record in brand management, strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in consumer insights, and a passion for promoting health and wellness. Essential FunctionsDUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Brand Strategy & Positioning:
Lead the development and execution of the brand strategy across multiple product categories, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with company vision and values. Drive market research and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities for brand growth.Portfolio Management & Campaign Development:
Oversee the performance and growth of the product portfolio, identifying opportunities for product innovation, line extensions, and rebranding initiatives. Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that new products align with brand values and meet consumer needs. Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, for product launches and seasonal promotions. Manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of campaigns across digital, social, print, and in-store channels.Brand Communication & Messaging:
Ensure all brand communication is consistent, compelling, and resonates with our target audience across all touchpoints, including social media, website, in-store point of sale and packaging. Work closely with the creative team to develop and maintain visual and verbal identity for the brand.Market & Competitive Analysis:
Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry shifts and continuously refine brand strategy. Present regular brand performance reports and insights to senior management, recommending adjustments as necessary.Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Collaboration:
Manage and mentor a team of brand managers and marketing associates, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Collaborate with sales, digital marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between brand objectives and operational capabilities. Foster strong relationships with retail partners to optimize brand presence and promotional activity.Budget & Resource Management:
Develop and manage the annual brand marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to drive maximum ROI. Monitor and optimize spending across marketing initiatives and campaigns.Work closely with finance teams to align priorities, forecasts, and budget allocation.
Other duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, AptitudeSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Strong understanding of the natural and organic food market, consumer trends, and industry regulations.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and inspire teams, work cross-functionally, and manage complex projects. Passion for sustainability, wellness, and the natural food space is highly desired. Ability to manage and lead a team with strong leadership skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred. 10+ years of brand management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams, preferably in the natural/organic food industry. Proven track record of managing multi-category brands with a focus on growth and innovation. Experience with digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media platforms.
