We're hiring a Director, Business Analytics at our Columbia, MD corporate headquarters as the Director of Business Analytics, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Management. Enjoy a hybrid work schedule with in-office days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and flexible options on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Director, Business Analytics is a high-impact role that works in close collaboration across multiple functions, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT, to drive business profitability through efficient processes and robust analytics. You will lead a talented team of 7 employees, leveraging your exemplary leadership, communication, and analytical skills to turn data into actionable insights and drive business results. Exemplary leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required for success in this role. Identifying the right problems to solve, turning data into actionable insights, and influencing at all levels to drive process improvements and business results is a must.
ResponsibilitiesManage a global team, including two Demand Planners, three Product Support Analysts, and two Business Analysts. Own the global process for MT specifications and material master data management. Recommend changes and enhancements to master data management systems to support business requirements and manage the implementation roadmap of IT projects. Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing leadership to develop and enhance performance dashboards with accurate and timely data. Lead critical, large-scale projects focused on workflow optimization and data automation that contribute to the MT growth strategy. Manage business rules in collaboration with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to support the S&OP process and Supply Chain strategy. Partner with Product Management and Global Operations to consolidate business cases for strategic capital and support project prioritization based on profitability and alignment with business strategy. Own pricing analytics and define tracking metrics to drive global consistency and improvements. Drive cross-business alignment of Supply Chain business rules, demand planning processes, and data analytics best practices. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field. 15+ years of experience in the chemical industry or related technology. Preferred Qualifications and Skills
MBA preferred. Experience in corporate business development, capital development, plant operations, or large-scale global data implementation projects in the manufacturing industry. Strong analytical ability and understanding of the financial impact of business dynamics and forecast changes. Excellent business sense and financial planning, strategy development, and project implementation knowledge. Strategic thinking and change agent with proven experience in managing continuous business process improvement. Demonstrated ability to lead transformational initiatives, with exceptional organization, time management, and interpersonal skills. Benefits
