Bohler is looking for a Southeast Business Development Director to head up a talented team of local Business Development professionals in securing new work opportunities and developing a strong pipeline of future business.
As Director, Business Development, you will follow through on Bohler’s purpose of empowering the ambitious to become the accomplished by partnering with leadership to develop and execute business development strategies in our Southeast Division, to include our Atlanta, Nashville, Raleigh, and Charlotte metro area offices. As someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, you will optimize our business development efforts while fostering a culture of cohesion and collaboration. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Business Development.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the firm’s overall goalsEnsure a robust and strategic target list for the assigned geographic region by collaborating with business leaders to vet and prioritize opportunitiesOversee, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development professionals, providing guidance to achieve individual and team goals Enforce the consistent use of CRM system to track pursuits and related activities Analyze CRM data to generate actionable insights, improve team efficiency, and measure success against goalsTrack and report on business development activities, opportunities, and outcomesFacilitate regular team meetings to align strategies, share insights, and address challengesBuild and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients, including developers, architects, municipalities, and other key stakeholdersRepresent the firm at industry events and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputationStay current on industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the businessFoster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture, encouraging professional growth and accountability
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related fieldProven experience in business development or sales roles within the AEC industryDemonstrated track record of effectively managing teamsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goalsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levelsProven track record of successfully managing client relationships and closing dealsAbility to travel as needed
