Reporting to the Vice President, Business Partnership & Labour Relations, the Director leads a team of HR Business Partners who support corporate enabling functions, including Finance, Legal, Communications, Corporate Affairs, HR and Information Technology. Working alongside peers in Business Partnership and People Services, you will serve on a leadership team accountable for delivering positive end-to-end employee experiences in HR’s operating model. About the Role

Workforce Planning: Leverages a data driven approach to drive talent insights and forecast needs to deliver on divisional and organizational objectives. Partners with peers to generate an LCBO wide workforce planning strategy that enables leaders to optimize the workforce (i.e. an efficient mix of fixed-term, casual, and permanent full-time employees) to meet business objectives and deliver on KPIs.Organizational Design: Brings Organizational Design expertise to complement and enable workforce planning strategies, business needs, and organizational transformation initiatives.Talent Management: Enables clients to bring talent programs to life and drive engagement through career pathing and succession planning. Is the expert resource on talent for clients and enables a culture of feedback and continuous improvement to earn influence and build trust.Change Management: Builds change readiness through continuous learning, but within the team and client groups. Advises clients on change opportunities, requirements, and strategies to realize business objectives. Embeds and promotes HR’s Operating Model with clients.Labour & Employee Relations: Nearly 90% of LCBO’s workforce is unionized, which means the ability to build constructive labour relations, navigate unionized environments, and serve our employees and clients in a way that respects collective agreement obligations is a must. Ensure client leaders are enabled to do same.Leadership: Leads a team who must understand, enable and coach clients to deliver on divisional and organizational objectives. You foster an inclusive work environment; embrace LCBO vision, values, competencies, and strategies; establish clear direction, accountabilities and goals for your team; and measure results to drive continuous improvement.

About You

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field.Minimum 10 years of progressive and relevant HR experience, including directly supporting clients as a Business Partner (3+ years), and leading direct reports (3+ years).Experience in a shared service environment is preferred.Agility, optimism and the experience required to lead projects and influence stakeholders as we continue to mature HR’s operating model and deliver positive employee experiences.Must be able to connects the dots by understanding our business, the industry, and external factors that impact results.Must have strategic orientation, organizational awareness, and financial literacy.Develops respectful internal and external relationships grounded in trust.Uses data insights and leverages technology to identify opportunities and achieve results.Must have data literacy, storytelling, and digital fluency skills.Executes client vision by creating plans that balance risk and deliver solutions. Must have project management skills and be comfortable making difficult decisions.Embraces mistakes as a driver of innovation.Customer centric, inclusive, accountable, and collaborative.
