Job Description

You blend critical thinking with a drive for delivering strong and actionable results, while being passionate about bringing value to our plan sponsors, participants, and Fidelity. As a member of the Workplace Managed Account strategy team, you will collaborate with your team and our business partners across Workplace, Retail and Asset Management businesses to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities and develop strategies to enhance and expand current offerings. You will work across product team leads, distribution channel partners and other strategy leads to evaluate and influence strategic decisions and roadmaps and execute on the top growth opportunities. You will be committed to maintaining and developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role, and support your teammates do the same.

The Team

As part of the Workplace Managed Account Product Area, the strategy team, is responsible for establishing the product’s next 2-3-year strategy by interpreting market signals, understanding clients and customers’ needs and assessing competitive landscape to define the top growth opportunities, ideate and enhance existing or incubate new offerings. As a team, we believe that balancing collaboration with strategic thinking infused by data-driven outside-in insights would lead to the best possible outcomes.

The Value You Deliver Use outside-in insights to develop hypotheses and inform learning agendasConduct market, customer, and competitive research to bring an outside-in perspective to help identify value to customer and inform prioritizationCollaborate within and across partners to develop growth opportunities that meet client and customer needsWork with Product Area and Group Squad leadership to facilitate development and prioritization of a backlog of opportunities by building compelling and data-driven business cases, product roadmaps, leading to appropriate resourcing and outcomesBuild credibility and trust with a diverse set of leaders in and out of the product area to influence and align around shared goals and visionsIncubate early stage concepts to test and refine market potentialDevelop executive level communications for internal and external useParticipate in and facilitate regular strategic planning discussions  The Expertise You Have Experience in management consulting and/or product strategy, and/or distribution strategy is strongly preferredFinancial services experience preferred, but not requiredAgile experience preferred, but not required Bachelor’s or equivalent with 10+ years of experience, Master’s preferredThe Skills You Bring Data-driven approach to frame market opportunities and inform “key strategic questions”Strong cross-functional leadership and skills to navigate a demanding environment and influence partners with a wide range of priorities and perspectivesComfortable with a fast-paced environment, familiar with testing and learning to optimize impactAbility to lead multiple high priority initiatives simultaneously and with multiple groupsExcellent consultative, listening, communication, and analytical skillsContinuous improvement mindset and intellectual curiosityCustomer obsessed and proven commitment to delivering frequent, high business valueAbility to see opportunities for innovation and taking thoughtful risks to get the work done better and fasterStrong team collaboration with the ability to navigate differences in opinion with grace and utilize constructive feedback as data for the next iteration
