Design and execute a sourcing strategy for Hertz NA logistics category. Working directly with business stakeholders develop sourcing strategies that deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.

Design & implement a logistics sourcing strategy for Hertz North America (HERC & RAC) transportation equipment assets Lead and execute logistics sourcing projects including strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations, risk management and contract execution Identify & implement a productivity pipeline process across logistics spend including truckload, intermodal, less than truckload, parcel Introduce systems and processes that will enable the measurement & tracking of Hertz logistics cost and carrier service levels Continuously assess market conditions in order to assess impact on customer costs Stay current with legislative requirements, ensure compliance within sourcing strategy  Drive continuous improvement through evaluation and implementation of network and routing optimization Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to recommend and execute continuous improvement strategies within the logistics category Manage a professional staff, collaborate with sourcing teams in Europe, Australasia, Asia & Brazil to drive consistency in Hertz global logistics process

Starting salary is $115K; commensurate with experience. 

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred Professional Qualifications CPSM, CIPS, 6Sigma

 

Professional Experience: 

5 years + experience in logistics sourcing & project management Sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 company, a leading consultancy, or a large industrial manufacturing company Proven experience in designing & executing logistics sourcing strategies that consistently deliver measurable bottom line cost savings Proven track record in identifying and designing process improvements yielding enhanced logistics solutions Expert negotiator, solid knowledge of contract language and legislative requirements

 

Knowledge: 

Expert in the field of logistics sourcing Experience and knowledge of logistics industry specific analysis software or methodologies Stays current with industry trends and legislative requirements
