As Director Commercial Category – you will play a critical leadership role within ResMed’s Global Supplier Alliance team. You’ll be responsible for developing ResMed’s logistics supplier base, building long-term partnerships, and driving continuous improvements in risk management, compliance, quality, delivery, cost efficiency, and innovation. Success in this role requires strong engagement with business leaders, fostering supplier collaboration, and developing a high-performing team with scalable systems and processes.

Strategy
Co-create, develop, and implement logistics strategies aligned with the organization’s business, global supply chain and category management goals. Collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement a best in-class network and continuously optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to achieve cost savings, improve service levels, enhance efficiency, and reduce risk.Collaborate and partner with category managers and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics strategies within overall group category plans. Provide regular reporting and market insight updates to support ongoing stakeholder engagement and awareness.Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet performance standards, contractual obligations, mitigate risks, and continuous innovation.Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistics partners to secure favourable terms to optimize costs, quality, service levels including approaches to supplier search and selection, and RFI/RFP/RFQ activities.Conduct regular performance and business reviews of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and stakeholder feedback.Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and evaluate performance to ensure the team meets and exceed goals. Manage, attract, retain, and develop top procurement talent as needed. Ensure the implementation of management systems within their area of responsibility (including health & safety, quality & environmental). Continuously review and develop processes to maintain scalability and efficiency as it relates to Category Management and its related processes and reporting. Maintain a thorough knowledge of ResMed’s quality system and provide support and guidance where required.Risk Management
Identify potential risks within the logistics network and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and achieve appropriate customer service levels.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contingency plans for business continuity are in place for critical logistics operations and overall logistics category.Financial
Manage the logistics costs, ensuring alignment with overall financial targets.Support and partner finance in monitoring logistics costs and implement strategies to achieve cost reduction without compromising service quality.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.
Base Pay Range for this position: (US market)
$176,000 - $265,000
