Overview Gallagher Bassett is committed introducing and developing the next generation of claims professionals through our Resolution Associate program. In this program, learners, typically new to the industry, follow a structured, cohort based journey where they gain the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform claims adjusting and related work. As the leader of the program, you will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy, planning, and delivery of this critical talent development framework. The objective of this role is to create and continually improve an industry leading new talent development program that generates a reliable source of skilled and motivated claims professionals. This role will require a dynamic leader capable of evolving our existing new talent infrastructure to meet our strategic goals around growth, cross-training, and diversity, equity and inclusion. We are seeking a creative and innovative thinker with strong communication skills, who will be able to strengthen the Gallagher Bassett brand and be a culture ambassador for the organization. The New Talent leader will organize the work and leverage the expertise of key stakeholders from the claims business, marketing, finance, talent acquisition, training, and HR to achieve desired outcomes How you'll make an impact Recruiting and Attraction Formulate and deploy a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that inspires prospects to pursue a career as a claims professional Refine and align on the targeted candidate/talent profile(s) to optimize both attraction efforts and long-term success Identify and cultivate key sources of talent based on the identified talent profile(s) Program Participant Selection Define and align on the selection criteria, hiring team composition, and the overall interview approach and structure to ensure fair and consistent hiring outcomes that generate the highest likelihood of success Compensation Strategy Ensure the overall compensation approach for program participants is optimized for balance, outcomes, attraction, motivation, and retention Explore opportunities to incentivize and reward those that are accountable for the support, development, and outcomes of program participants Capability Building and Development Define the overall capability building roadmap to include the role and interplay of on the job experience, coaching, and formal training Continuously improve the formal training curriculum and post-training support Participant Manager Effectiveness Define and align on the optimal talent profile of program management and support staff to ensure the right team is in place to facilitate participant success Define goals and expectations for program management inclusive of training, coaching, and feedback standards Build and deploy any unique tools, roadmaps, training, peer forums, or other resources to enable program management to be effective stewards for their participants Measures of Success Define and obtain alignment on the leading and lagging indicators that articulate success in achieving program objectives Review and refine participant progression standards and associated monitoring Maintain a visibility cadence of program success, opportunities, and ROI with leadership and other stakeholders Design and deploy a participant listening cadence to maintain visibility and situational awareness Cohort and Group Activities Identify and organize activities and events for program participants that supports engagement, visibility, business exposure, peer interaction, etc. to further support their journey to become a claims professional and to reinforce their decision to do so at Gallagher Bassett Career Pathing Coordination Explore opportunities for stronger alignment and integration with traditional career pathing efforts outside of the program About You Bachelor's degree; 6-7 years experience leading new/early talent development programs or related structured development programming. Ability to network inside and outside of Gallagher to establish relationships in support of the goals of the position. Ability to develop clear and concise written plans that present a compelling vision for the evolution of the program in line with the strategy. Excellent problem-solving skills utilizing data and structured methodologies. Above average verbal and written communication skills necessary. Desired: Insurance industry experience required Experience in full cycle recruitment processes. Work Traits: Demonstrates analytical curiosity and skills sufficient to develop and track performance of programs and to support business case. Comfortable operating in a self-directed and autonomous fashion; motivated to take ownership. Sound judgment, tact and diplomacy in handling sensitive issues is imperative. Strong conflict resolution skills with a consistent ability to remain measured and objective.
