As the Director, Commercial Development China, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our China sales strategy. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, drive business growth, and build strong relationships with key customers. Your key responsibilities
+ Develop and Implement China Sales Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the China market, ensuring alignment with the company, Biomedical division’s global objectives and achieving sales targets.
+ Manage a small sales team and staff to support strategy of continued growth for our China business.
+ Monitor and Optimize Sales Execution: Oversee the implementation of sales plans, monitor progress, and take corrective actions to ensure strategic goals are met and performance is optimized. Develop, define, negotiate, and conclude long-term sales contracts and business alliances with customers to meet sales targets and agreed-upon customer service levels.
+ Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute account strategies for key customers, including business segmentation across small, start-up, large, and multi-national accounts to drive long-term relationships and growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential key customers, understand their needs, and enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
+ Market Intelligence and Insights: Provide and share relevant market information and recommendations with business partners to support decision-making regarding business strategy, new product development, and market expansion.
+ External Network Developmen & Organizational Collaboration and Compliancet: Develop and maintain an external network of peers, competitors, and customers to stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and to enhance DSM’s market presence.Collaborate with internal functions such as Engineering, Innovation, Finance, Legal, and Quality to drive business strategy. Ensure all commercial and contractual agreements comply with companies’ legal and financial policies

You bring
+ Expected Background: an academic degree in Business Administration, Medical Device, Life Sciences, Polymers, Pharmaceutical, or a related field, with over 10 years of experience in sales, sales management, or customer-facing roles in business development.
+ Commercial Excellence: Demonstrate expertise in sales operations, performance management, KPI control, and sales force effectiveness.
+ Industry Knowledge: Understand the medical device, biomaterials, and CMO industries, including market dynamics, customer profiles, and competitive landscape, experience within Orthopedics and/or the Vascular market preferred.
+ Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
+ Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively in the China market, with experience in influencing stakeholders across different levels and cultures.
+ Global Collaboration: Experience in working with international teams, managing cross-functional projects, and driving business expansion across multiple cultures and markets.
