This individual will be responsible for overseeing institutional sales enablement and project management functions which benefit business leaders and revenue generators around the world. In addition, the person in this role must ensure impeccable quality control for all work product and consistently demonstrate an innovative, forward-looking approach to workflow automation and intelligence gathering as well as an unwavering commitment to identifying efficiencies that maximize the entire team’s impact on the firm. The Commercial Operations team leader reports to the Global Head of Commercial Operations based in the United States and is expected to have a wide sphere of influence across the firm.

The day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to: 

Lead and manage India commercial operations team members, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation. Plan and monitor the day-to-day execution of numerous Commercial Operations processes, consistently assess all processes for potential optimization paths, and resolve any issues that affect delivery. Direct and oversee the administration of the firm’s global cross-referral award program, including intricate tracking and quantification of thousands of client engagements and associated status updates to award recipients. Direct and oversee the administration of various sales commissions programs, including coordination with the finance team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments to sales team members. Influence and leverage global sales performance and revenue credit reporting via the firm’s Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems, including custom reporting based on the specific needs of client service stakeholders. Coordinate a mission critical and time-sensitive process relating to annual revenue credit measurement and publishing of performance reports in partnership with the firm’s compensation team and other key contributors. Drive and expand various evergreen sales enablement initiatives, including general Salesforce CRM onboard training and client data analysis that correlates Salesforce conversion value to Dynamics revenue.  Collaborate with client service stakeholders to define and measure progress against commercial goals and KPIs, and continually develop new reports and dashboards clearly evidencing commercial performance and trends. Support the firm’s strategic account program with analysis and insights based on comprehensive sales activity measurement. Ensure team compliance with Kroll standards, regulations, and ethics.  Scale team as appropriate through targeted recruiting efforts and adjust alignment of responsibilities based on the needs of the business. Scope and recommend new platforms, tools, reporting avenues, and commercial initiatives to drive efficiencies and increase the team’s value. 

Essential traits:

15+ years of experience in Sales Operations with minimum of 10 years in management roles.  Significant experience managing commercially focused teams in multinational corporations and/or professional services firms. Experience leading teams working 24/5 is an advantage. Exceptional team management, project management, and time management skills. Superior presentation and written communication ability with an emphasis on business writing. Proven track record of inspiring team innovation across multiple areas of responsibility. Proven track record of adopting Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement and increase efficiency. Substantial Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience is essential. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are strongly preferred. Advanced Power BI or equivalent reporting experience is an advantage. Bachelor’s degree (Masters desirable) in English, Business, Management, or equivalent field. Work hours must overlap with U.S. Eastern Time. Standard team hours are 2:00-11:00 IST.  Ability to travel as and when required.
