Director, Communications - Asia Pacific (9 months' contract)

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

\n

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
 
What your day-to-day will be like:

\n\nExecutive Communications: Lead and manage impactful stakeholder communications – with a focus on executive communications support for Hilton’s President of APAC – and enhance the company’s reputation. This includes overseeing and delivering executive briefings, as well as editorial planning and reviews of external, internal, and social content (written and on camera). \nOwner Communications: Supervise content development and design for Hilton’s regional and global owners events, as well as owner-facing announcements and communications, to amplify strategic Hilton announcements and storytelling moments.\nInternal Communications: Supervise content development and design for Hilton’s key internal events and communications (e.g. regional townhalls, Team Member Appreciation Week), to strengthen culture- and people-focused storytelling and amplify Hilton’s standing as the world’s best workplace.\nContent Design: Supervise the design and distribution of impactful content and video-based storytelling to amplify, internally and externally, Hilton’s standing as the world’s best workplace, and its journey to become the world’s best place to stay.\n\n

How you will collaborate with others:

\n\nPartner with c-suite leaders and across the APAC and Global Communications team, as well as leverage agency partners, to shape and deliver impactful, well-designed communications.\nManage a team of up to 4 (responsible for content design, internal, executive and owner communications) and partner closely with the SVP and VP of Communications in APAC to align on integrated and high-value communications support. \nMost meetings are held either in-person or virtually, during working hours. However, there are a handful of recurring / project-specific calls with the US- and EMEA-based teams that can fall outside of standard APAC working hours.\n\n

What you will take ownership of: 

\n\nWritten, designed and video communications from the Hilton APAC President’s office.\nIntegrated support and amplification of key Hilton events, moments, and announcements, through impactful internal, executive and owner communications.\n

WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT

\n

You have these minimum qualifications:

\n\n10+ years of work experience in executive communications, public relations and/or journalism, as well as stakeholder and project management, with a deep understanding of the APAC market\nExcellent writer, seasoned team leader, collaborative team player, and skilled project manager\nExperienced and confident in engaging and supporting c-suite leaders, and highly competent in navigating a matrixed global organization\nKeen interest for travel and hospitality – and a heart for hotels, people, and storytelling\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint\nFlexible to work beyond / outside official hours when dealing with global teams in various time zones\nWilling to travel up to 30% as required (mostly within APAC)\n\n

It would be useful if you have:

\n\nProven ability to lead and develop editorial plans, creative campaigns, storytelling content\nExperience in managing teams, agencies, and budgets\nExperience with issues and crisis management\nExperience in the hospitality industry\n\n
