Director, Community Health - Primary & Speciality Care Sevices

Here, you can work with others who share common values, and use your skills to help extend care to all of our communities.This Director, Community Health is responsible for day-to-day operations of the community health primary & specialty care division including but not limited to the Care-A-Van mobile health program and the Community Health Clinic, Manchester. Additionally it oversees the wellness and prevention programming covered by IVNA-Wellness, Every Woman’s Life and Prenatal Education for New Moms. The position is responsible for overall functioning of clinics including management of site supervisors, coordinators, and practice providers, daily operations, patient schedule management, patient, provider and staff satisfaction, AP coordination with BSMH Community Health programs, growth of health services and policy and procedure execution.

Essential Job Functions

​Responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and evaluating comprehensive, primary and specialty clinical services, in addition to prevention and wellness education, health screenings and vaccines for children and adults.Responsible for overall functioning of clinical sites to include directing clinical supervisors, practice providers,site coordinators and providing efficient and effective oversight through continuous process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs and optimize patient care.Develops operational and strategic plans, budgets, tactics, and financial data.Prepares and monitors annual budgets; provides patient and financial data of clinic(s) and overall department performance.Supervises department staff and provides efficient and effective oversight through continuous process improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs.Monitors and procures logistical needs including, IT/IS and systems access.Manages billing functions; cash controls including deposits, charge entry, A/R, timely correction of claim edits, monitoring and managing outstanding claims and A/P as applicableResponsible for regulatory requirements including provider and staff licensure, Regulatory Surveys, Credentialing/ RecredentialingDevelops and refines processes to continually improve practice operations, staff workflow, and patient, provider, and staff satisfactionPartners with BSMG leaders to align priorities, maintain BSMG regulations/standards, operational & clinical workflows.Ensures that policies, procedures, and initiatives adopted by the BSMG Clinical Council are implemented in practice sites when applicable.Provides logistical oversight of all clinic sites and offsite clinical services to include scheduling, communication and coordination with patients/clients receiving services.Works with front office support team for payroll processing and accuracy.Responsible for all current and future grant functions including coordination, implementation, and reporting in coordination with the Bon Secours Richmond Foundation staffAssists Executive Director, Community Health with planning, coordinating, and implementing a wide variety of programs within the scope of Community Health.

Employment Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Care Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum Years and Types of Experience: 5-10 years of experience with medical practice management or clinical operations oversight.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.Billing, scheduling, budgets, regulatory compliance, clinic operations, IT/IS oversight, AP/ARMany of our opportunities reward* your hard work with:
