Director, Community Wellness
Overview Responsible for the successful administration of the Cherokee Nation Community Wellness Center in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position serves the community while managing and overseeing the programs, facilities, volunteer staff, and financial and staff development. Collaboration with community agencies in meeting the wellness needs of Cherokee citizens and wellness center members. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT An additional four (4) years of experience in a related field. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software, Human Resource systems, Internet software, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must be certified in CPR and maintain throughout employment. CPR may be obtained during orientation. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste, or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to correct/adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to working near moving or mechanical parts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
