This senior-level accounting position will support the Hubbell Utility Solutions (HUS) Business Segment in maintaining compliance with SOX controls as well as Company policies including the integration of newly acquired businesses. This position has deep knowledge and experience with SOX requirements and business process improvement. This role is based at the HUS headquarters facility in St. Louis or at the Hubbell headquarters facility in Shelton, CT and is a hybrid position. #LI-AO1 #LI-Hybrid A Day In The Life + Collaborate with operational and financial professionals to assess business operations and company-wide processes to improve the overall control environment. + Use a risk-based approach to develop procedures and lead pre-audits within the Segment, including first time and new acquisition audits. + Lead financial and operational pre-audits, consulting and special projects + Lead SOX integration and policy implementation for newly acquired businesses + Provide business process training to operations and finance professionals throughout the Segment + Support IT projects including ERP implementations and ITGC implementations for new businesses + Develop control reporting procedures and recommendations for Segment leadership + Perform month-end close routines, including journal entry and account reconciliation reviews as needed + Special projects as assigned. What will help you thrive in this role? + Bachelors Degree in Accounting required with a Masters in Accounting or MBA preferred + 8-10 years of combined work experience in Big 4 and/or Corporate Accounting + Strong working knowledge of SOX control requirements and relevant business processes in a manufacturing environment. + Operates efficiently and effectively with minimal oversight + Ability to effectively identify, diagnose, and communicate the risks of business transactions on the control environment to the company’s leadership team + Able to work hands on within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively up the chain of command. + Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment. + Proficient in verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. + Exhibit a confident leadership presence and can effectively modify presentation styles to all levels within an organization. + Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
