Role Overview
The Director of Data Consumptions, Insights and Advance Analytics is a pivotal leadership position within our organization, charged with steering the strategic vision and execution of data initiatives. This role encompasses a unique blend of management responsibilities across three critical domains: data engineering, data science, and technology partnerships.
In this position, the director will lead and inspire a diverse team of data professionals, driving the design and implementation of robust data consumption and Advance Analytics architectures while ensuring high standards of data quality and governance. They will leverage advanced analytical techniques and machine learning methodologies to provide actionable insights that empower decision-making at all levels of the organization.
What will you do in this role:
Lead the design and optimization of scalable data architecture to support Advance Analytics and Data Consumption to drive insights for faster business decisions.
Collaborate with IT and business units to align strategic priorities and futuristic capabilities.
Direct the development of advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms that drive business intelligence and decision-making.
Guide the data science team in conducting exploratory data analysis and translating findings into actionable strategies.
Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization, presenting insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Develop training programs and initiatives to enhance the analytical skills of team members.
Ensure the highest standards of data quality, governance, and security across all data engineering projects.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external technology vendors to enhance the organization's analytical capabilities and tools.
Evaluate emerging technologies and tools in the market to determine their potential impact on data strategy and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs and ensure alignment between business objectives and partner offerings.
Mentor data engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Oversee contract negotiations and management with technology partners, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
What Should you have:
10 – 15 years of relevant experience in IT disciplines including technical architecture, data and analytics, technical lead and solution architecture background.
Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of data solutions.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a deep understanding of data governance, analytics, and machine learning.
Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience managing relationships with technology vendors and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
Visionary leadership with an ability to inspire teams and drive change.
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
Strategic mindset, with an ability to align data initiatives with business goals.
