Director, Corporate Accounting

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Non-Tech Accounting Director to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing key accounting areas, requiring a strong technical accounting background, exceptional research and problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven ability to analyze complex accounting issues, develop and implement solutions, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Experience managing a team is a plus.

What you'll do:

Manage the accounting and reporting for stock-based compensation, including assigning fair values, expense recognition, and related disclosures.

Oversee the accounting for the annual bonus plan, ensuring accurate accruals and comparison to payouts.

Manage the accounting for employee benefits-related accruals, including medical, 401k, and other benefits.

Oversee the accounting for pension plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution plans.

Research and resolve complex accounting issues, including the interpretation and application of US GAAP.

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting documentation.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.

What you'll have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on technical accounting and complex issue resolution.

Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP.

Proven ability to research and interpret accounting pronouncements.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
