General Description:

Under the direction of the General Manager FrBeLux, the Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications France & BeLux is responsible to develop & execute locally the Corporate Affairs and Communication strategy.

This role involves providing strategic counsel to leadership and implementing communications and public affairs strategies that support business growth. It focuses on developing and implementing strategic communication plans, building a patient advocacy network, and engaging with policymakers and trade associations in France/BeLux in alignment with strategic goals.

Essential Functions of the job:

Communication internal and external (50%)

Develop external communications materials to support business priorities, including but not limited to narratives, proactive and reactive messaging, and media materials. press releases, corporate materials, social media content, etc

Support employee engagement and internal communications

Finding new ways and opportunities to improve our perception amongst relevant external stakeholders in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg

Building a positive BeiGene image/brand and awareness for our company and our products in the hemato-oncology market

Corporate Affairs (30%)

Develop and implement bold corporate affairs strategies to position BeiGene as a leading oncology company and increase awareness of our products in France and BeLux

Identify and maintain relationships with a broad variety of stakeholders including media, governments representatives, patient organizations, trade associations, with a particular focus on oncology and hematology

Steering the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and programs with the above stakeholders

Patient advocacy (20%)

Develop and implement locally the patient advocacy strategy

Project management (contracts, invoicing, communication) for Public Affairs & Patient Engagement activities and projects together with admin support

Support decisions whereby patient care is at the center of the BeiGene mission

General

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and with the European and Global Corporate Affairs team

Ensure compliance across all areas to maintain the highest standards of patients focused ethical conduct in line with our values

Consistently ensure operating in accordance with BeiGene´s Standards of conduct and all applicable local laws and regulations

Partner with and provide direction to external agency partners and vendors, as needed

Manages and plans the expense budget

Track, monitor and report on strategy and tactical results

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field

10+ years of qualified work experience in Healthcare Communication, with responsibilities and/or exposure in advocacy/public affairs roles

Hands on in operations and strategic

Very good knowledge of the pharmaceutical framework and applicable regulations

Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Collaborative and able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

Knowledge of the haemato-oncology market is a plus

Strong understanding of the traditional media landscape and its intersection with paid, social, and owned

Experience interacting with and providing appropriate communications counsel and support to senior leaders

Flexible team player with the ability to act quickly and meet deadlines with the highest ethical and business standards

Entrepreneurial problem solver who can juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines.

Attention to detail, adept at grasping the big picture, and skilled at connecting all the dots in between

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Innovative and creative

Good computer skills

Computer Skills: Standard Computer Skills required (MS Office)

Other Qualifications: Fluency in both verbal and written English and the country language; any other major European language of advantage

Travel: Approximately 20% of time
