Position Overview:
The Corporate Communications Director will drive growth through compelling, data-driven storytelling centered around four key reputation drivers, positively impacting our corporate reputation across various initiatives. This role is responsible for enhancing our corporate reputation by analyzing insights from reputation data, developing strategic communication plans, and implementing these plans in alignment with global charters. The position reports directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Communications in Japan and works closely with the global communications team based at headquarters in Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Communication Charters
Execute global communications charters by adapting strategies and plans to maximize impact in Japan, leveraging four core reputation drivers while maintaining a balance between global consistency and local relevance.Collaborate closely with the global communications team and actively engage in the co-creation of global charters.Corporate Reputation
Enhance corporate reputation by integrating insights from reputation data into all communication plans.Measure the impact of communication efforts among key audiences, including policy influencers, opinion leaders, weekly consumers, millennials, civically/issue-engaged individuals, and conscious consumers.Partner with the PACS Data & Analytics team to utilize their analysis and insights from reputation metrics for informed decision-making and effective feedback across the OU PACS team.Corporate Communications
Build and maintain relationships with key press, reporters, and journalists to stay informed about the latest trends, industry movements, and potential headwinds.Manage critical media inquiries to mitigate and minimize reputation risks.Drive creative and innovative approaches across all communication channels and platforms.Evaluate communication impact and effectiveness through standardized campaign measurement across social, owned, and earned media.Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with a proven track record of enhancing corporate reputation.Previous experience working in a global or multinational environment, with a strong understanding of localizing global strategies for regional impact.Experience managing communications strategies and plans, measured through data-driven insights and metrics.Skills:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with both global and local objectives.Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing reputation data and translating insights into actionable communication plans.Creativity: Innovative approaches to both conventional and digital communications, with the ability to craft compelling and effective storytelling content.Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including press, reporters, and journalists.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences both in English and JapaneseCandidate Profile:
