Charles Schwab External Affairs is looking for a Director, Digital Campaigns and Initiatives, to support corporate reputation digital efforts for the firm’s corporate and executive functions.
This role will serve as a key partner across the Community Affairs team and across Schwab at large taking the lead to manage short and long-term strategic approach to social media and digital reputation in alignment with our strategic priorities. Key to this leader’s success will be a strong social media background with a passion for connecting with stakeholders to build alignment through collaboration in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. This leader will operate in a highly regulated environment across dozens of stakeholders, vendors/agencies, and policies.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Digital Reputation, this is an opportunity to join a team of talented communicators who lead the firm’s priority digital initiatives including protecting and enhancing the corporate reputation.

What you’ll do:
Bring Schwab’s corporate strategy and messaging to life on digital platforms through ideation, strategy, and creative execution of scroll-stopping social media content on priority platforms and channels. Nurture and grow talent on the team to bring out the best in the work. Foster a vibrant community by engaging with our diverse audiences, nurturing relationships, building advocates and fans.Keep up with timely and relevant industry news and trends to inform your work and perspective you bring to your role. Be a digital communications expert, serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to team members, peers, internal partners, and senior leaders at the firm. Build paid social media and influencer campaigns in support of corporate reputation initiatives to build awareness for the company. What you haveEducation: Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications/related field, or equivalent work experience.10-15 years in social media or digital communications with a proven track record of developing strategic campaigns and initiatives that ladder back to business priorities. 5+ years in direct people leadership experience overseeing diverse teams and motivating employees to achieve goals. Advanced knowledge of social media tools such as Khoros, Hearsay, Brandwatch and social media platforms.Ability to develop strategic campaigns and initiatives that ladder back to the overall External Affairs strategy and design measurement framework to effectively communicate success and progress over time.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and evaluate strategic options and make sound decisions. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization and with external partners. Excellent process and project management skills, able to prioritize and deliver on multiple assignments, meet deadlines and be decisive under pressure.Exceptionally high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.A true team player with a collaborative working style effectively establishing trust and respect cross-functionally across teams, geographies, and time zones. Financial Services or other regulatory industry.Preferred location: New York or Westlake.Employees may have the flexibility for a hybrid schedule, where they divide their time between working remotely or in the office. This role will be expected to be in office 4 days a week.Base Compensation: $126,500- $230,000. Your compensation may be different. Talk with your Talent Advisor to learn more.
