Director, Corporate Strategy

The Director of Corporate Strategy will be responsible for co-leading the development of strategic plans and key strategic decision topics and recommendations. Additionally, the candidate will work with the corporate development and technology pathfinding teams to identify future trends, assess capabilities, and develop business cases and strategic rationale for investments.

This role also includes collaborating with the manufacturing and supply chain teams on requirements and strategic direction for long-range manufacturing plans and large-scale capital investments!

Key responsibilities:

Coordinate and drive the annual strategic planning process. Virtual team consists of cross company participants spanning multiple organizations.

Support the development of special strategic topics. Lead workgroups, develop frameworks, run strategic analysis, create and coordinate presentations, manage workflows, drive consensus, and track action items.

Support BU and functional strategic plans. Work with TPG to align on the long-term technology and product strategy.

Partner with Corporate Development team to identify the right investment areas and opportunities to strengthen Micron’s industry position

Manage the strategic plan LRP process. Work with Finance, Global Ops, and Central BU to develop and implement the supply and bit allocation strategy.

Run executive level strategy meetings.

Create Corporate Strategy newsletters.

Translate assessments of strategies into actionable decision points and recommendations.

Collaborate with the global communications team to deliver strategy related communications to varied levels of the Micron organization, including annual strategic plan communication and on-going spotlights.

Qualifications and skills:

10+ years of semiconductor industry experience in business, finance, or operations

Minimum Master or Bachelors’ degree in STEM fields; MBA is a plus

Rich experience in managing cross-functional, high-impact programs

Deep knowledge of Micron’s products, technology, market segments, and competition

Past experience must include executive level presentations and ability to influence executive-level decisions

Broad experience interacting with engineering, business, and operations roles

Strong capability to cope with ambiguous or uncertain environment and drive for clarity

Track record of timely execution, cross-functional leadership, consensus building, and bias for action; self-starter in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with dynamic demands

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with Microsoft SharePoint

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$177,500.00 - $343,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
