Role of Functional/Tower Director: The GBS Functional Leader is the strategic driver and fully responsible for the vision and strategic intent of the respective function and consequential capability development, SLA adherence and overall performance of its function.  The leader is responsible for working with internal stakeholders and GBS cross-functional leaders to develop, manage and execute GBS regional center’s services to its global business partners.  The GBS functional leader will guide, act and behave as the global lead for the respective area of expertise; specifically, driving process transformation, optimization and automation to deliver best-in-class services and value for its business partners.  This role is critical to shaping, enabling and expanding GBS’ core portfolio offerings on a global scale.  Success in the role is dependent on leveraging business/customer insight, functional expertise and business process transformation skills to build the necessary capabilities and services to deliver value to Ingram Micro and achieve GBS’s strategic intent.  This means the Functional Leader must have the knowledge, skills and abilities; and the right mindset, behaviors and attitude to lead a diverse, global organization.     

Functional Towers:

Go-To-Market: Become a top choice for customer and sales related services including but not limited to purchasing operations, sales/tech support, licensing and customer/vendor service.Finance: Provide a defined service portfolio, service lifecycle, innovation and location strategy for transactional and value-add services supporting the global Finance strategy, including offerings supporting AP, AR, GL, and vendor debits.Reporting & Data Analytics: Develop a Center of Expertise for all GBS business and partner reporting needs, including data consolidation, compliance and analysis.Business Transformation: Deliver high value project management activities covering business process transition, harmonization/optimization and improvement, with a focus on LEAN benchmarking and best practices.Digitization & Application Management: Create the Center of Excellence to deliver enhanced operational efficiencies through automation with respective operating model.

Finance: Credit / Accounts Receivable - Global Process Operations Tower

The portfolio of services for the GBS Credit / Accounts Receivable function is accountable for managing the global credit operations, while maximizing sales and minimizing bad debts, and treating all customers fairly and appropriately according to their financial needs and qualifications.  Focus on providing leadership consistent with Ingram Micro standards; provide leading credit techniques and training to associates in order to exceed expectations with every partner, every day.  Fosters open channels of communication between both internal and external business partners. In addition to the following objectives, this leadership role will also provide in-country leadership oversight and support to the matrixed finance business functions in the overall GBS Finance operations tower supporting clients and stakeholders across North America, Asia-Pacific (APAC) and European/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) and Latin America (LATAM) regions.

Design and launch creative financing solutions for Ingram Micro customers – e.g. Technology as a Service, Managed Service contracts funding and others.Actively promote creative financing solutions to customers.Establish department objectives for DSO and past-due accounts receivable, setting appropriate targets and ensuring they are met in conjunction with the company objectives and goals.Determine customer credit limits and manage risk using financial data, credit services and industry knowledge.Perform credit evaluations on new customers, establish credit limits and set up new customers in accordance with company policy.Monitor existing customers’ adherence to payment terms and/or changes in financial stability and re-evaluate credit terms accordingly.Ensure payment terms are enforced and cash goals are met. Facilitate the resolution of escalated discrepancies with customers.Monitor receivable portfolio to proactively increase cash flow and minimize company’s exposure to bad debt.Actively participate in meetings to help drive receivable performance improvements across the business.Ensures coordination and communication with credit managers.Responsible for monitoring and reporting the company’s credit exposure.Directs the workout of credit impaired transactions for recovery amounts due the company.Manages Outsourcing Service Provider activities.   Ensures all issues are addressed in a timely manner; identifies areas of improvement and works to create consistency between Ingram Micro and OSP.
