What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Management- Simplii Financial , this role is responsible for leading the evolution of the Simplii Credit Card portfolio as catalysts to growth customer share of wallet and market share. The individual develops compelling, industry leading products under the Simplii brand, manages and owns the product/portfolio strategy and performance and supports the day to day management of Simplii products. The role is critical in influencing the ongoing development and growth of the Simplii Financial franchise and it’s positive contribution to the CIBC enterprise.

How you'll succeed
Credit Card Acquisition, Go-To-Market and Portfolio Engagement
Strategy - Develop and implement comprehensive acquisition strategies for Simplii Financual credit card products, targeting diverse customer segments. Analyze market data and customer insights to identify key acquisition channels, customer needs, and competitive positioning. Lead the development of go-to-market plans for new credit card launches, ensuring a cohesive approach across all acquisition channels.
Collaboration - Collaborate with Marketing, Growth, and Digital Sales teams to create multi-channel campaigns that include digital, social media, in-branch, and partner promotions. Define launch objectives, timelines, and KPIs to measure acquisition success and maximize market reach.
Optimization - Identify and optimize acquisition channels, such as digital advertising, influencer marketing, and partnerships to increase conversion and drive customer acquisition.
Relationships - Develop and manage relationships with key acquisition partners, including retail and commerce players, ensuring alignment on target audiences and campaign goals. Implement innovative acquisition tactics, such as referral programs, exclusive offers, and bundled packages, to attract new customers.
Market research - Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and behaviors, identifying trends that inform acquisition strategies.
Credit Card Product Strategic Planning
Business objectives - Work with the Sr. Director, product peers and cross functional resources to achieve business objectives including NPS, revenue, profit, volume and market share goals
Business planning - Develop annual strategic business plans and business cases for Simplii Credit Card, in consultation with leadership team
Recommendations - Make recommendations to drive portfolio effectiveness, create operational efficiency and strategic congruence. Maintain and share product value propositions and strategies that align to the Simplii brand and franchise strategy
Strategic management - Accountable for performance of Simplii Credit Card KPIs through strategic management and ongoing analysis of trends and the competitive landscape. Oversee continuous monitoring and management of product risks and controls
Forecasting - Track and manage credit card; balances, purchase volume growth & portfolio KPIs and support monthly/quarterly/annual financial forecasts.
Team Management
Goal setting - Setting appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals’ roles support the achievement of the business unit’s priorities and Simplii’s overall goals;
Leadership - Building team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training. Hiring the right people in the right jobs to align individual capabilities with job requirements and business unit goals.
Performance management - Managing performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance and by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities;

You have attained post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Analytics or related field
You possess a strong and extensive background in financial services especially credit cards with a keen focus on product management and strategic planning
You can demonstrate ability to plan and coordinate several initiatives simultaneously
You have a strong ability to understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and independently develop recommendations in order to respond to urgent business priorities
You have excellent communication and presentation skills sufficient to prepare, present material to and influence executive audience
