Job Description
The Director is part of the Credit Investment Operations group within the Technology & Operations department, overseeing a global team and serving as the program manager for all Credit Investment Operations projects. This role is responsible for building and fostering strategic relationships across the organization to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes in investment operations and project execution.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Credit Investment Operations, the Director will lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with various departments, and drive effective operations, reporting, and disclosure of investments within financial statements, performance, and management reporting.
As a Director, supporting teams across Investment, Finance, Risk, and Technology, you will engage with key stakeholders to support existing applications and deliver new capabilities. You will be accountable for defining and implementing strategic enhancements through each phase of the Credit Investment Operations lifecycle, from inception to service delivery. Your role includes capturing business outcomes, overseeing project timelines, and leading the strategic development of services within Credit Investment Operations. Additionally, you will oversee central functions for enterprise initiatives, vendor management, and subledger systems management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Strategic Initiatives:
Drive strategic initiatives focused on process improvements and system optimization, ensuring successful implementation in alignment with organizational goals. Lead cross-functional projects supporting investment operations, defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, managing risks, and providing regular progress updates. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, promoting teamwork to achieve operational excellence and deliver new capabilities. Serve as the primary liaison to maintain alignment on objectives, milestones, and project deliverables.Team Leadership and Development:
Oversee a team responsible for day-to-day investment operations, offering mentorship, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative thinking and best practice adoption within investment operations.Investment Life Cycle Support:
Oversee the onboarding of complex investments, ensuring a smooth closing process and addressing operational requirements in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Guide the team to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines, including managing interactions with external auditors regarding investment-related inquiries. Develop and strengthen internal controls and processes by streamlining, automating, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvements to existing workflows. Prepare documentation to demonstrate the adequacy of procedures and controls to meet regulatory standards and ensure compliance with internal policies. This includes reviewing and providing input on existing policies when revised, as well as contributing feedback to responsible teams on new policies being considered and drafted.Qualifications
