The Role
As the Data Architect supporting APS, you blend deep data Integration knowledge to create Data architecture and Data modeling for multiple Key initiatives in the Analytics space. In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your CoE, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions to help scale our business. You are committed to staying hands on, developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role. You will drive a spirit of innovation and data strategy by building and improving the data Integration. modeling and database design practice primarily Analytics systems, with a goal to stretch into Transactional systems as needed. You will work closely with the business and technical teams and create or assist in the creation of scalable, flexible, and well documented data architecture that enable database designs that will enhance the APS time to market. You will help to drive conformance to the APS data strategy and Enterprise Data Taxonomy.The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Demonstrated experience in ETL/ELT tools (preferred Python, Informatica and Snaplogic), Data Integration frameworks and best practices (SME)Expertise in relational database technologies such as Oracle, Postgres and Snowflake; cloud native databases such as Yugabyte DB and Cockroach DB; and NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, DynamoDB. Understand the enterprise decision matrix for databases, including diff between RDS and Aurora DB deploymentsSupport on Data replication, ingestion pipelines, DR, AWS infrastructureDemonstrated technology and personal leadership experience in architecting, designing, and building highly scalable data pipelines in analytical, and reporting systemsAbility to formulate data strategy, conceptual architecture, and work with development teams to execute the strategyExpertise in data management standard methodologies such as data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, Data Governance, metadata management and data quality.Understanding of Reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI), Alation and Collibra is a plus.Ability to evaluate, prototype and recommend emerging data technologies and platformsStrong understanding of Data Modeling concepts esp. dimensional modelingExperience with data processing concepts such as Change Data Capture, Eventing, and Streaming technologies.Strong understanding of cloud concepts, specifically transactional resiliency, scalability, and performance from a data/database perspectiveUnderstanding of Reporting tools and AI/ML nice to haveBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAbility to explain Data structures to a nontechnical audienceResults oriented with demonstrable ability to work independentlyGood interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skillsThe Value You Deliver
Overall Data architecture support with a focus on ETL/ELT, and data integration architectureResponsible for the Oversight of Data Integration practices and Analytics tech stack across diff groups in APSSME knowledge in Analytics and snowflake along with RBAC and Data Tokenization conceptsWork with other data architects and application architects in formulating Data Strategy, esp. data Integration and Data Analytics Strategy for APSWork across different groups of team members, along with the ability to influence inside and outside of your team.Able to work in a matrix team environment that presents significant change and tight timeframes.Superb communication skills (both written and verbal)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong prioritization skills and ability to focus on high impact activities.Help to drive conformance to the APS and Enterprise data strategyThe Team

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
