Director, Data Enablement and Analytics
Job Description:

The Role

The Director, Strategic Identity Solutions will blend a product ownership background with strong leadership, program management, and presentation/storytelling skills that help ensure that the development of data products and solutions meet the needs of business stakeholders! This role will:

Craft business cases for new data-related products and services.

Provide leadership to implementation teams and drive product adoption.

Define and report on the progress of team objectives, and collaborate with Finance partners to provide information in support of FI and Enterprise portfolio needs.

Partnering and working with both business and technology partners.

Craft and deliver presentations for a variety of business and technical audiences to help socialize the value of the team’s work.

Excel at leading and encouraging others who you may not directly manage.

Motivated by developing and streamlining repeatable processes that can help teams go faster.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

5+ years of prior work experience, preferably in data-centric role(s) passionate about product ownership and delivery.

A data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translating strategic objectives into action, and prioritizing value delivered.

Experience in the product development and delivery lifecycle.

An ability to lead and empower colleagues by influence.

Ability to establish and manage relationships as you work across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes. The mindset to seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach.

Dedication to developing a balance of technology and non-technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our stakeholders.

Strong focus on execution and how to identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress.

Ability to understand the difference between the question being asked and the question the business needs answered.

Willingness to ask questions and challenge the status quo to benefit the organization.

Intellectual curiosity and embracing of a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.

Experience with development in an Agile framework preferred. Agile approach required.

Master and Reference Data Management experience preferred.

General understanding of data stewardship and governance practices preferred.

Financial services experience preferred.

Jira and Jira Align experience preferred.

The Team

The Fidelity Institutional Strategic Identity Solutions team is part of Fidelity Institutional’s broader Data Management group. The team is responsible for end-to-end product ownership of Master and Reference Data Management and other data solutions! As a Strategic Identity Solutions, Director, you are an individual contributor who will work in partnership with broader Data and Analytics groups, as well as Business and Technology leaders across Fidelity Institutional.
