Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $159,400.00 - $265,600.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Director, Data Science is responsible for informing and executing the organization’s analytics strategy, overseeing the development, implementation, and scaling of advanced analytics applications across the enterprise. This leadership role requires a blend of wholistic vision, technical expertise, and operational leadership to drive data-driven decision-making, improve business processes, and enhance operational efficiency through innovative analytics solutions. 

 

Responsibilities:  

Lead advanced analytics delivery to drive business insights and operational efficiency across the enterprise 

Scale analytics solutions from proof of concept to enterprise-level applications 

Drive advanced analytics capabilities in areas such as predictive modeling, benchmarking, root-cause-analysis, data visualization, and decision automation 

Lead the development and implementation of analytics best practices, ensuring consistency and optimization across the organization 

Identify and prioritize high-impact analytics opportunities to support key business objectives 

Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate analytics solutions across business units and functions 

Advance analytics maturity, establishing a clear roadmap to enhance capabilities and deliver measurable business outcomes 

 

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years’ experience in a related field; or 22 years’ experience in a related field

5+ years’ experience in a management or leadership role

Experience with AI/ML/analytics application development and enterprise solutions 

Experience leading analytics projects from conception to deployment 

Experience supporting critical analytics applications in production  

Experience in data and analytics frameworks and technologies (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, AWS Sagemaker, Google Vertex) 

Programming skills in Python 

Experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for analytics and data solutions 

Experience in data and analytics development lifecycles 

Preferred:

Graduate degree strongly preferred

Leadership: 

Experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring talent 

Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies 

Ability to develop and implement analytics strategies aligned with business goals 

Collaboration: 

Proven ability to work with stakeholders across business units to identify opportunities for advanced analytics 

Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 

Analytical: 

Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making 

Experience in quantitative analysis and performance metrics for analytics and data solutions 

Innovation: 

A track record of fostering a culture of innovation within teams 

Experience with development of systematic approaches to explore new ideas in data and analytics technologies
