What You'll Contribute
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Digital Analytics to oversee and manage digital analytics operations, utilizing advanced technologies to drive data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will set the vision and strategy for our digital analytics programs, working closely with Product, Data, and Marketing teams to ensure a data-driven approach across digital channels. Your focus will be on optimizing the user experience, enhancing member engagement, and improving product performance through actionable insights and continuous optimization.
What You'll Do
Lead the digital analytics strategy for the Education Services organization including the implementation and ongoing management of digital event tagging and tracking for the Sallie.com website.
Collaborate with digital product, development, and marketing teams to define, implement, and refine tagging strategies for user engagement touchpoints.
Ensure seamless integration between Heap, GTM (Google Tag Manager), HubSpot and other analytics platforms to collect accurate, actionable data on member interactions.
Oversee the tracking and measurement of cross-domain traffic between Sallie.com and the affiliate SallieMae.com website, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all digital touchpoints.
Develop and manage dashboards and reports primarily leveraging Heap, HubSpot, and Power BI to provide stakeholders with clear insights into member engagement, retention, cross-domain traffic patterns, and overall site and product performance.
Lead data analysis initiatives that inform decision-making, providing strategic recommendations to optimize the digital experience based on insights derived from web behavior, user journeys, and engagement metrics.
Partner closely with the Data Analytics team to develop a seamless pipeline of digital data integrated with member data, enabling more robust analysis and personalized marketing efforts.
Partner with leadership across Education Services and digital product teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of digital initiatives.
Continuously evaluate and improve event tagging, tracking processes, and reporting frameworks to enhance data accuracy and performance insights.
Provide training and guidance on best practices in digital event tagging, cross-domain tracking, data analysis, and reporting tools.

What you have
Minimum education, skills and experience required.
BS in Business Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and/or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in data integration, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Expertise in digital analytics platforms, including Heap, Adobe Analytics, and Google Analytics.
Expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM) for tag management and data layer setup.
Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and experience with SQL or other data manipulation languages.
In-depth knowledge of user behavior analytics, conversion tracking, and performance metrics.
Proven ability to design and execute advanced data analytics strategies, using data to drive decision-making and optimize business operations.
Deep understanding of data integration technologies and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of data governance, security standards, and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
