We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Director, Digital Assets and Currencies Policies and Governance.
Job Profile
Lead and manage product policies and governance for digital asset and currency (DACs) initiaitves, working across HSBC. Includes polices and governance for DACs strategy, products, services, governance and other deliverables. This role plays a pivotal part in safely implementing our business and product strategy around Digital Assets and Currencies. Reports into the Group Head of Digital Assets and Currencies.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Work with colleagues across HSBC to define and document policies and governance for DACs strategy, projects and deliverablesWork to ensure that HSBC understands relevant DACs industry and policy developments in this segment, contributes to shaping them, and is seen as a thought leader for the development for DACsEnsure that any DACs products abide by internal (policy) and external (regulatory) obligations, and work with the second line of defence (2LoD) to actively shape HSBC’s DACs policies and procedures Working closely with the respective business teams to successfully ensure policies and governance Work with colleagues and teams across businesses, technology and digital functions to further our DACs agenda Excellent understanding and management of DACs risks Strong focus on regulation and government affairs, including translating these two impacts on our current and potential products and strategy Continuously conduct research on digital assets products and new features, identify potential trends, updates, or changes in the sector, and keep teams informed about these changes and potential application scenarios within our services Externally represent HSBC in front of regulators and government officials
