Purpose
Lead direction for site support/service staff, develop technology programs, ensure reliable and secure technology operations, champion system integration, support technology projects, improve technical services, and actively participate in regional technology leadership
Key Work Activities I
Lead and manage all site support and service staff, including End User Support, Site Mining and Fleet Management Systems, Site Networks and Telecommunications, Site Server Infrastructure, and Mining and Exploration Systems, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Develop and manage multiple technology programs for the mine, setting annual objectives, key strategies, action plans, and resource requirements to support operational excellence and strategic initiatives.
Oversee the deployment and utilization of technology at the site, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with company standards.
Ensure the reliability and security of all technology systems and applications on-site, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and monitoring system performance.
Enforce adherence to Newmont’s Technology Group Strategy, Architecture, Standards, and Governance & Reporting protocols, ensuring compliance and consistency across the site.
Promote the integration of technology systems at the site, working collaboratively with corporate, regional, and site delivery teams to ensure seamless operations.
Partner with regional IT teams to leverage Newmont's global IT services, including the Global IT Service Desk, to meet site-specific needs and enhance service delivery.
Lead the implementation of technology projects at the site, ensuring successful execution and realization of anticipated benefits.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve technical services, adapting to site-specific changes and evolving requirements.
Actively participate in the Regional Technology Leadership Team, representing the site's needs and contributing to regional and group discussions.

Knowledge and Technical Skills
Knowledge
Professional designation, B.Sc., M.Sc. or similar degree in Computer Science.
Proven Technology management expertise.
Knowledge of mine operations in different cultural and geographical settings.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in integrating and optimizing technology systems in varied mining environments to ensure seamless operation and compatibility
Competent in overseeing technology projects from inception to completion, including planning, resource management, execution, and realizing benefits
Informed about establishing strong technology security protocols, adhering to industry norms, and following corporate governance guidelines
Proficient in managing site-specific technology infrastructures, such as server operations, network management, and telecommunication systems
Able to create and implement strategic technology initiatives that are customized for mining operations, align with company objectives, and improve efficiency
Experienced in utilizing global technology services and resources, effectively coordinating with the Global IT Service Desk to meet local IT demands.
