Director, Digital Workplace Platforms - Onsite job

As Director of Digital Workplace Platform services, you will lead a team of IT engineering professionals who are responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and security of the email and collaboration tools and applications that are used by thousands of employees and customers. You will oversee the team responsible for the heart of our productivity and communication platforms like Email (Exchange Online), Teams, automation tools including Power Platform, and foundational applications like Office, web browsers, and GenAI solutions like Copilot. You will also drive the adoption of new technologies and solutions that enhance the productivity, collaboration, and security of the organization. You will report to the director of Workplace Computing and work closely with other IT leaders and stakeholders across the organization.

ResponsibilitiesManage, lead, coach, and develop the email and collaboration services team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance managementOwn and implement the strategy, budget and resourcing, roadmap and processes for critical email and collaboration tools and core applications used by 50k+ users and devices, including platforms like Exchange, Teams, Zoom, Power platform, live events/webinars, M365, Copilot/ChatGPT, and digital signageEnsure the availability, scalability, and security of the email and collaboration services, including mail flow, secure email gateways, phishing and account protection, and business continuity with platforms like Proofpoint, Defender, Broadcom/McAfee, AbnormalCollaborate with other stakeholders, support teams, business units, IT peers and leadership to share your vision and incorporate their feedback and ensure maximal business value creationManage the vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements for the email and collaboration tools and applicationsOversee the performance, capacity, and usage of the email and collaboration services, using data analytics, reporting, and dashboardsEnsure the compliance of the email and collaboration services with the organization's policies, standards, and regulations, such as data privacy, security, and governanceStay updated on the latest research and evaluation of emerging technologies and tools in this space to bring the future of collaboration to Applied MaterialsJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field15+ years of relevant experience designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting global enterprise-level IT solutions, including direct experience email and collaboration tools and applications7+ years managing large, geographically-dispersed (both remote and onsite), highly-technical engineering teams and contractorsStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders and teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive improvement and innovationStrong project management, budget management, and vendor management skills, with the ability to deliver results on time and within scope and budgetStrong passion and desire for innovation and security, with the ability to identify and implement new opportunities and solutions that enhance the productivity of the organization

U.S. Salary Range:

$180,000.00 - $247,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
