Director, Donidalorsen Patient Services
SUMMARY:
The Director, Donidalorsen Patient Services is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Patient Services, and is responsible for designing, building, and directing comprehensive Patient Services and the overall Service Model for the Ionis product, Donidalorsen. The successful candidate will input strategic patient services expertise and advisement into the Donidalorsen brand planning process via the Brand Team, as well as being accountable for the execution of Patient Services to support the potential Donidalorsen launch and brand-level services performance.
Responsibilities:
Service Model Design & Innovation
Service Implementation
Support the implementation of the patient service model, including but not limited to: Business rule development Patient journey workflow mapping Roles and responsibilities definition Technology requirements Coordinate implementation of services with Ionis operations and vendor partners, including but not limited to: Requirements definition Cross-functional/cross-vendor coordination and integration Technology system and operational user testing Compliance / privacy / security assurance (in conjunction with cross-functional partners such as Compliance, Legal, Information Technology, etc.)Service Measurement and Refinement
Continuously monitor, review, maintain, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to patient support services Ensure the continuous improvement of patient services processes and systems through collaboration with the Ionis patient services operations team Define and measure functional key performance indicators (KPIs) of patient services offerings and operations Develop a voice of the customer program to gather feedback to understand pain points and identify solutions for arising challenges and issues
Cross-functional Collaboration
Provide subject matter expertise on patient services to all stakeholders, escalating concerns as necessary Work with internal and external Patient Services partners to ensure seamless, extraordinary patient and customer experience Partner with a broad set of Ionis functional leaders and partner teams to ensure best-in-class patient services
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MHA, PharmD, PhD) strongly preferred 7+ years working in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in Patient Services program design and operational execution including managing/operating patient services vendor relationships Successful product launch experience in the US required, preference for specialty drug launch Experience with rare disease, orphan, or ultra-orphan products highly desirable Ability to translate innovative ideas into actionable plans, executed with detail-oriented, strong project management Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in data analytics, data tools, and innovative methodologies Self-motivated & collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills Outstanding customer relationship, communication, presentation and writing skills Ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross-functionally Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills Comfortable managing multiple projects and delivering strong results Proficient in MS Office Suite
