Key responsibilities for this role include:

Lead personnel involved in budget, planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects involving all applicable engineering disciplines including architectural, mechanical, civil, chemical, industrial, electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunications.

Provide the leadership to all engineers to successfully implement, on budget and schedule, both expense and capital projects. Projects include CPR preparation and approval, URS, implementation, managing design and construction firms, Commissioning, Validation, training, SOPs, Procedures, PMs, Calibration schedule, change controls, and all activities required to meet project deliverables.

Ensure engineers manage a site cross-functional team and issue regular project team meetings with action items.

Work with all levels of the site to schedule and minimize production impacts needed to accomplish all engineering project work objectives.

Provide the leadership and technical expertise as needed to direct the engineering group to provide any troubleshooting and engineering support to keep the site’s production and facility equipment and buildings operating at a high level of efficiency.

Lead the engineering group to develop and deliver all assigned quality requirements related to the engineering projects, audits, investigations, CAPAs, etc. within all technical and schedule requirements.

Develop and implement the engineering processes needed to support the safety and environmental requirements for the site.

Provide the leadership and direction to department personnel as needed to maintain all drawings, files, and records for the facilities, buildings, equipment, and systems.

Provide the oversight and leadership to constantly evaluate and improve the technical expertise within the engineering group to support the site’s objectives.

Motivate workers to achieve work goals by fostering their ideas and by initiating or suggesting other ideas.

Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.

Manage LCMs, Service Contracts, and other similar requirements.

Manage site Automation, Equipment Validation, and Reliability Engineering functions.

Facilitate good working relationship among subordinates, peers and with all other departments.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent) and 10 years of experience required. 15 years of experience preferred.  However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Must possess solid knowledge of Engineering theory and ability to apply in a practical manner. Must have exceptional project management skills and ability to lead a team of technical resources.  Most possess knowledge of drafting tools. AutoCAD, spreadsheets, and project tracking software.

Must possess the ability to write reports, correspondence and make formal presentations.

Ability to solve multiple problems and deal with many variables and deadlines.

Must be strong in leadership, communication, listening and collaboration.
